YOUR TEAM, YOUR IMPACT

Participating in the Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio Affiliate Race for the Cure® with a team multiplies the fun, the laughter and maybe even the tears that you share on Race Day. Rally around someone you know who was just diagnosed, someone who has fought the battle, or someone who may have lost the battle. Together, with your friends, family and co-workers, you make an even greater impact than you could alone.

The Team Captain must register first and create the team before team members can join the team. A team is comprised of 10 or more individuals. Teammates can be friends, family members, co-workers, or anyone else who would like to join.

Fundraising is Easy with Online Tools!

When you register for the Race you automatically receive your own fundraising website. Teams receive an additional Team fundraising page. Your Team page is a website that friends and family can visit to find a team member or give a donation that supports the fundraising efforts of the entire team. Personalize your Race fundraising website. Use it to tell friends and family why you participate in the Race for the Cure. You can even accept donations online, right from your fundraising website. To make your page more dynamic, upload a link to a video clip or activate the blog feature. All of this and more is waiting for your Team once you register for the Race! Team fundraising for the Race is easy with online tools!

Team Captains have the ability to customize the Team website with a team photo and story.

Join the fun by entering the Team T-shirt Competition!

New this Year the “People’s Choice” T-Shirt Award.  All shirts will be displayed at Brondes Ford Registration and on Race Day.  People will have the opportunity to vote for  their favorite t-shirt by making a $1 donation per vote.  The shirt raising the most money will be the winner!

GUIDELINES: Most designs are acceptable, within these guidelines:

• One design per Team.
• If you are concerned prior to print, you can submit your artwork by email: to Beth@komennwohio.org.
• Use of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® or Susan G. Komen for the Cure® logos is not permitted, however there is artwork for an Official Team Badge that can be incorporated into your design. Find this on the Team Page for the Race for the Cure at www.komennwohio.org.
• Use of the word “sponsor” is reserved for official Race Sponsors.
• If you are not a sponsor you can use the following phrasing or similar:
• “Proud supporter of the Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio Race for the Cure®”
• “XYZ Team proudly supports the Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio Race for the Cure®”
• NO PINK SHIRTS, please – pink is reserved for breast cancer survivors only!
• Submitted shirts become the property of Komen Northwest Ohio and cannot be returned.

DEADLINE: Your shirt must be at the Race office or shirt design submitted by e-mail [raceteams@komennwohio.org] NO LATER THAN Friday, September 16, 2011:
